About the school

Here at the Vegetarian Society Cookery School, nothing excites us more than bringing a humble vegetable to the table and elevating it to being the star of the show, the centrepiece worthy of everyone’s attention.

We pride ourselves on being able to show everyone just how easy and joyous this can be, and our experienced and friendly tutors love to spend their days teaching you the ins and outs of modern vegetarian and vegan cooking. From a whole range of international cuisines, to vegan classes and showing off the latest trends in the culinary world, nothing puts a smile on our face more than seeing you being delighted to try the delicious creations you get to produce…

We constantly seek out the best products, and are happy to say we have forged long-lasting relationships with ethical and carbon-neutral suppliers such as Suma. This ethos is integral to the Vegetarian Society as a whole, and our determination to make our classes as inclusive as possible can be seen in our work outside of the Vegetarian Society Cookery School, where our tutors offer free courses to community groups and individuals who would not ordinarily come across vegetarian food or be able to take part in these amazing life-skill building courses.

We are always working on new classes and workshops to offer the best experience to customers, and we never stop trying out new ideas in the kitchen. Most recently, we have been developing a range of seasonal courses celebrating the bounty of goodies we can find on our doorstep, as well as expanding our vegan Indian possibilities – there are many ways we look to set the standard in fantastic vegetarian cooking whilst also being proud about our ethical credentials.
