Chef of the Future
Chef of the Future
Vegetarian food has seen a revolution in recent times. The amazing creations we now see in the finest restaurants up and down the country have never been more varied, inspiring and delicious – all thanks to their virtuoso chefs. That's why we want to celebrate these often unsung culinary geniuses in our 'Chef of the Future 2016' competition.

About the competition

We're looking for those people with a real flair for food who can make starters spectacular, main courses magnificent and desserts to die for.

Organised and hosted by the prestigious Vegetarian Society Cookery School in Altrincham, the two-stage competition is open to anyone who can create vegetarian dishes fit for any high-end restaurant. The first stage sees entrants submit a three-course vegetarian menu for four people, from which a shortlist of four finalists will be selected. Stage two will involve these finalists cooking these delectable menus in just three hours in a 'cook off' on 14 June 2016.

The winner of the competition will not only be crowned 'Chef of the Future 2016', but will also win a personalised Vegetarian Society Cookery School chef's jacket, a trophy, a bottle of Champagne, and a fully-funded place on the professional diploma course, worth over £1,700.

Entrants do not have to be vegetarian themselves. To enter the competition, simply complete the online entry form by Monday 23 May 2016.

Please view the competition rules before entering.
