Establishing good eating habits early on is a doorway to health and wellbeing in later life. Opportunities to develop the culinary skills that underpin this are rare for young people which is why we’ve put together this short course designed for 11-14 year olds.
The course serves as a foundation for good nutrition and culinary skills as well as instilling the confidence to develop repertoire of dishes where the emphasis is on simplicity, flexibility, nourishment, punchy flavours and a variety of textures.
Courses begin at 10am sharp and finish at 1pm.
After a quick session on knife skills participants are given guidance to cook a minimum of three dishes to take home and try out on the family.
Students will get a course pack full of tips and the recipes to recreate the dishes at home.
